Socii Club for Outlook and Gmail
Log an introduction from the email you sent, without leaving your inbox.
What it does
When you introduce two people by email, open that email and tap Log this intro in the Socii Club panel. Socii Club reads that one email, works out who you introduced to whom, and saves it as a draft in your Intro inbox. Nothing is recorded until you open Socii Club and confirm it.
The add-ins are for members of Socii Club. You sign in with your Socii Club account the first time you use them.
Install
Outlook
Works in Outlook on the web, the new Outlook for Windows, Outlook for Mac and the Outlook phone apps.
- In Outlook on the web, open any email, select Apps (or Get Add-ins), then My add-ins.
- Choose Add a custom add-in, then Add from URL, and paste:
https://www.sociiclub.com/addins/outlook/manifest.xml - Open an email and select Log intro in the ribbon or the email's Apps menu.
Once Socii Club is listed in Microsoft's add-in store you will also be able to find it there by name.
Gmail - not open yet
Socii Club for Gmail is not open yet. It will work in Gmail on the web and in the Gmail phone apps, and we will add it here once it is ready.
Log an intro
- Open an introduction email that you sent, with the two people you introduced on To or Cc.
- Open Socii Club: the Log intro button in Outlook, or the Socii Club icon in Gmail's side panel (below the email on a phone).
- The first time, sign in to Socii Club and approve Draft intros from the email you have open.
- Tap Log this intro. The panel shows who was introduced.
- Tap Confirm in Socii Club to review and confirm the intro in your Intro inbox.
What the add-ins read and keep
- One email, only when you tap. Opening the panel or an email reads nothing. When you tap Log this intro, the add-in reads the email you have open: who it is from and to, the subject, the date and the text. Never your other emails, never your contacts or calendar.
- Read only. The add-ins never send, change, move or delete email.
- Drafts, never records. The add-ins can only create drafts. You confirm every intro in Socii Club before it is recorded.
- How the email is read. To find who introduced whom, Socii Club sends the text of that email to our AI provider, Anthropic. We keep the email text only until you confirm or dismiss the draft, and never longer than 30 days. After that we keep only the introduction details (names, companies, date and a one-line summary).
- Your sign-in. Outlook keeps your Socii Club sign-in in the add-in on that device. For Gmail, Socii Club keeps your Socii Club sign-in, encrypted, linked to an ID for your Google account (not your Google password, and no access to the rest of your Gmail).
Socii Club's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
The full details are in our Privacy Policy (sections 6.9 and 13.4).
Common questions
It says only the person who made the intro can add it
An intro counts as yours only when you sent it from the email address you use to sign in to Socii Club. If someone else introduced you, ask them to log it. If they already have, it links to you automatically.
It says the intro is already in my Intro inbox
You (or a BCC to your log address) already sent Socii Club this email. Tap Confirm in Socii Club to open the existing draft.
Sign out or remove the add-in
Tap Sign out in the Outlook panel, or Sign out of Socii Club in the Gmail panel. You can also remove Socii Club from Outlook (My add-ins) or Gmail (Settings, then Add-ons) at any time. Intros you already confirmed stay in Socii Club.
Email support@sociiclub.com and tell us which add-in you are using and what you saw.
